Zahavah started her career as a jewelry designer by combining her background in sculpture and fascination of art from old world countries. She began Zahavah Jewelry Design three years ago with the idea of bringing different cultures and her own unique artistic vision to jewelry making.
Zahavah studied Spanish and Art from the University of Texas - Austin and Jewelry and Metal Smithing at The Pratt Fine Art Center. She has traveled the world and gained first hand knowledge of jewelry making in different countries such as Greece, Indian, Turkey and Italy studying with local artisans.
While traveling the world, she takes in the detail of architecture, museums, ancient relics, and sacred symbols to get her ideas which inspire each design. She has a trip scheduled to Bali this year to continue her exploration of the many beautiful place in the world which inspire the Zahavah line.
.. the detail of architecture, museums, ancient relics & sacred symbols inspire each design...
The inspiration for the designs comes as she is working with the metals in her studio to create the originals. This process gives her an organic freedom to designing and a unique style to jewelry making.
The designer loves the connection with clients and wants her pieces to be something they will keep forever.
