Charmaine Warrior is a ceramic artist from the beautiful south-western region of Cornwall, England. She has been working with ceramics for over twenty years and her work is highly prized.

The fusion of Eastern and English design sensibilities result in breathtakingly colorful and romantic works which generate pure joy in the beholder.  A combination of fine English pottery and Eastern mystique. Exquisite in their fineness and detail, these utterly lovely things are true collectible treasures to pass down through the generations.

Her work is seen in The Sand Piper Gallery, The Barbican Gallery and Harrods, among many other places.

Artist Statement - Charmaine Warrior

'My work is about uniting form with image and design. Throwing and hand-building with earthenware clay. I use a vivid palette of colours, building up with layers of slips, stains, glazes, enamels and lustres.

I seek to produce pieces which are rich in colour, interesting and individual in form as well as being functional.

Recently, I have started to experiment with other materials, inlaying metals and stones to the fired work to give the finished piece a precious and unique quality.

I acknowledge Eastern culture as a strong influence and regularly draw from nature and the human figure.'

"I have felt your art to be a living energy. I feel that I can be in the picture as a bird of paradise or the fishes can be swimming through me. there is an incredible paradox of simplicity and abundance here. "
